Artsy Fartsy Martin Art is a blog site offering commentary on all matters impacting the fine arts community.
It is designed to compliment a virtual gallery web site, Martin Art NY, which is designed to promote artwork and artists centered on the New York City metro region.

Artsy Fartsy Martin Art is published by The Martin Art Trust (TMAT), which was created in 2017 as a holding entity for the art collection of Josh Martin. Martin is actively engaged in this project, serving as managing editor and chief correspondent for both Artsy Fartsy Martin Art and Martin Art NY.

Josh Martin is a veteran journalist, whose work has appeared in numerous journals and magazines, including The New York Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Middle East, The Financial Times, Euromoney, Outside, and In These Times.

Martin has had a life-long involvement with the fine arts. TMAT was initially created to protect and represent the entire art estate of the sculptor Louise Kruger. Martin has in his own right expanded TMAT’s holdings to include paintings, photos, prints and sculptural works by Picasso, Miro, Renoir, Rauschenberg, Jean Cocteau, Lois Dodd, Giorgio DeChirico, Raoul Dufy, Chaim Gross, Antonio Grediaga Kieff, Louise Kruger, Jacob Lawrence, Carl Lindin. Brice Marden, Jerome Martin, Henry Moore, Victor Vasarely, Ramiro Fernandez Saus, John Sloane, Saul Steinberg, George Symons, Weegee, Jacob Lawrence and Alice Neel.

TMAT has also acquired works by up-and-coming artists, including George Towne, Jane Kent, Jeff Miller, Scott Cousins, JAM, Kent Lau, Tai Lin, James McDonough. Richard Heeps, Ward Lamb, Jim Watt and Graham Marks.

Artsy Fartsy Martin Art endeavors to give a virtual audience a highly personal and snarky view of issues and trends impacting the art world.
